Tony Hayes (Director of Diamond Solutions UK Ltd) is walking the distance from Lands End to John O’Groats to fundraise for Dementia UK, in memory of his father David Hayes.
During the walk Tony is covering the distance from Lands End to John O’Groats virtually (the whole length rather than the crow flies which is a total distance of 874 miles or 1407km).
By 27th February, Tony had walked 426km locally around the Bury area and as of this Easter weekend, Tony has now completed a further 308km! Well done Tony!
The walks have brought a mixture of weather – snow, rain, bitterly cold winds and a couple of very warm sunny days (which we hope we will see many more of with summer fast approaching).
